Google to Launch First Gemini AI Glasses in 2026

• Google on Monday said it will launch the first of its AI-powered smart glasses in 2026.
• The glasses are being developed in partnership with Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
• Two categories are planned: audio-only glasses for 'screen-free assistance' and display-enabled glasses with an in-lens screen for navigation and translation.
• The new glasses run on Android XR, Google’s operating system for headsets and glasses.
• Google also revealed Project Aura, wired XR glasses from XREAL featuring a 70-degree field of view and optical see-through overlays.
