Hugh Morris, former England and Glamorgan batter and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) chief executive, passes away at 62

• Hugh Morris captained England A as well as leading Glamorgan over two spells.
• He was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January 2022 and left his role as Glamorgan chief executive in September 2023.
• Morris led Glamorgan to the Sunday League title in 1993 and won three full England caps.
• He spent 16 years in various senior roles at the ECB and oversaw three consecutive Ashes series wins for the England men's Test team.
• He was appointed MBE in 2022 for services to cricket and charity and was inducted into the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame in September 2024.
