Passport Verification Record on DigiLocker enables secure digital access and sharing

• The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has made Passport Verification Record (PVR) available on DigiLocker to reduce reliance on physical records.
• Upon successful verification, citizens can fetch their PVR in the 'Issued Documents' section of their DigiLocker account.
• PVRs on DigiLocker are secure, tamper-proof, and digitally verifiable, allowing instant, consent-based sharing with authorised agencies without physical submissions.
