Uttar Pradesh Forest University: Rs 500 crore outlay for specialised forestry and wildlife education

• The Uttar Pradesh government has finalised the Detailed Project Report for the forest university and allotted Rs 500 crore for the project.
• The 125-acre campus will be located near the Jatayu Conservation and Breeding Center in Gorakhpur.
• The university will offer degree and diploma programmes in forestry, agroforestry, social forestry, horticulture, ecology, natural resources and climate change.
