Key facts

The second phase of the Specialised Training Program in Cancer Care for BIMSTEC Countries was formally launched at the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Visakhapatnam.
The program brings together participants from BIMSTEC countries, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Nepal.
The initiative was announced by the Prime Minister of India at the 6th BIMSTEC Summit and is being implemented by the Tata Memorial Centre with support from the External Affairs Ministry.
