Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the full 82.15 km Delhi–Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor on 22 February 2026 at Rally Ground, Mohiuddinpur, Meerut.
The corridor runs from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut and covers the distance in approximately 55 minutes.
The project was built at an estimated cost of over ₹30,000 crore and comprises about 70 km of elevated track and 12 km underground.
Meerut Metro, also flagged off on the same day, runs 23 km between Meerut South and Modipuram with 13 stations and a top speed of 120 km per hour.
Meerut Metro has an integrated ticketing system allowing passengers to use the same ticket for both Namo Bharat and metro services within the city.
