MeHEALTH app launched by Kerala Health Department to provide nearby public health-care facility information

• Kerala Health Department launched the MeHEALTH mobile application to help users access information about nearby public health-care facilities and services.
• Users can view details of nearby hospitals, specialty departments, laboratory tests, test rates, blood banks, paywards, radiology services, and pharmacies.
• The app allows advance booking of appointments in hospitals where the e-Health project is implemented.
• Information on Janakeeya Aarogya Kendrams (formerly subcentres), government homoeopathy hospitals, and Karunya pharmacies is available through the app.
• Users must install the app and log in using their phone number and OTP; linking Aadhaar enables online OP ticket and doctor appointment booking.
• The app shows the exact distance and route to health-care facilities using integrated Google Maps navigation.
• The 'Nearby Services' option displays hospitals within a 10-km radius and allows filtering by specialty, services, ambulances, blood banks, laboratories, paywards, radiology, JAK centres, pharmacies, and homoeopathy clinics.
