The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) approved development of two new airports in Telangana at Warangal and Adilabad.
The foundation stone for the Adilabad airport will be laid within the next three months.
The Warangal airport development will be taken up by the MoCA while the Adilabad airport will be developed by the Defence Ministry.
The announcement was made by Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu and Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy at a press conference in New Delhi.
