Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced one-time cash grants of ₹30,000 for the birth of a third child and ₹40,000 for a fourth child.
The policy initiative aims to reverse the declining population growth rate and maintain a replacement-level Total Fertility Rate (TFR) of 2.1.
The government proposed additional welfare measures for the third child, including monthly nutritional support and free education.
