CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR) and Research and Information System for the Developing Countries (RIS) sign MoU

• Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Research and Information System for the Developing Countries (RIS) on 6 May 2026.
• The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in science, technology, innovation policy, and diplomacy through joint research, policy analysis, capacity building, and knowledge sharing.
• RIS initiatives include ITEC courses, iGOT Karmayogi training, Forum for Indian Science Diplomacy publications, and global partnerships through DAKSHIN and IBSA Fellowships.
• CSIR-NIScPR focuses on science communication, policy research, affordable HIV drug innovations, traditional knowledge validation, rural innovations, and the management of 15 open-access journals.
• Three documents were released: “India-Republic of Korea S&T Cooperation: Co-Creating the Future”, “Proceeding of Workshop on Strengthening India's Semiconductor Ecosystem: Policies, Challenges and Opportunities”, and a policy bulletin titled “The key drivers of particulate pollution from road transportation in Indian states”.
