DigiLocker Integration: Five States Felicitated for Strengthening Digital Governance

Key facts

• The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) felicitated Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Nagaland, and Rajasthan for integrating DigiLocker with state government services.
• The recognition was conferred on May 11 during the National Consultative Workshop on Strengthening Cybersecurity Frameworks for State Data, an initiative led by the National e-Governance Division (NeGD).
• Gujarat onboarded 65 per cent of its services, benefiting over 1.92 crore citizens, and introduced digital disability certificates for free bus transport services.
• Karnataka integrated 73 per cent of government e-services, recorded over 2.7 crore registered users, and digitised approximately 3 crore electricity bill records.
• Kerala onboarded more than 117 services in less than seven days, while Nagaland integrated over 32 services within a month.
• Rajasthan rolled out the Jan Aadhaar Family Register through DigiLocker, covering more than 7.5 crore citizens.
