Next Gen Chhattisgarh Dial-112 and Mobile Forensic Vans Launched to Cover 33 Districts

• Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off 400 next-generation Dial-112 vehicles and 32 mobile forensic science laboratory vans on May 18, 2026, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh (CG).
• The upgraded Next Gen CG Dial-112 service, themed Ekke Number, Sabbo Bar, has been expanded from 16 districts to cover all 33 districts of the state.
• The integrated platform consolidates police, fire services, ambulance support, women and child helplines, disaster response, and highway emergency assistance under a single command structure.
• The 400 newly inducted vehicles are equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS), wireless radio systems, cameras, mobile Network Video Recorder (NVR) units, and solar backup systems.
• Each mobile forensic van, costing approximately ₹65 lakh, is equipped with evidence collection kits, fingerprint detection systems, and narcotics testing kits to speed up investigations.
