• The PM MITRA Scheme was approved by the Union Ministry of Textiles in 2023 to create large scale integrated textile parks across India.
• Seven states selected under PM MITRA Scheme: Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh.
• The first operational PM MITRA Park, established in Warangal, Telangana, spans 1,327 acres and was developed at a cost of over ₹1,695 crore.
• The park is expected to attract investments worth more than ₹6,000 crore and create over 24,400 direct jobs across the textile value chain.
• Industries setting up units in the park can access dedicated incentive support of ₹300 crore under the scheme.
