Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM-AJAY): Launch of Digital Portal and Mobile App

Key facts

• The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) will launch the PM-AJAY portal and the AJAY mobile application to digitise the implementation and monitoring of the Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM-AJAY).
• The digital dashboard will track socio-economic development in more than 47,000 Scheduled Caste-majority villages and monitor over 4 million beneficiaries.
• Under the Adarsh Gram component, the system will monitor progress across 50 socio-economic indicators spread over 10 developmental domains.
• The portal will serve as a centralised management information system for the Grants-in-Aid (GIA) component and track the physical and financial progress of hostels under the educational institutions component.
• The AJAY mobile application enables offline door-to-door surveys, digital beneficiary registration, and the upload of geo-tagged and time-stamped photographs for infrastructure verification.
