Red Balloon Aerospace Launches Mission SANA, India's First Indigenous Super-Pressure Platform

• Red Balloon Aerospace launched Mission SANA, the first indigenous super-pressure platform in India, carrying commercial payloads from seven national and international partners.
• India is now among five nations globally with indigenous stratospheric hydrogen balloon capability, alongside the United States, France, Japan, and China.
• The VISTA platform ascended to approximately 25 kilometres from the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
• The platform enables Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) connectivity and supports applications including telecommunications, disaster monitoring, earth observation, surveillance, rural connectivity, agriculture monitoring, spatial governance, atmospheric research, and environmental sensing.
• The commercial roadmap of Red Balloon Aerospace includes three platforms: VISTA super-pressure balloons, ALTIS tethered aerostats, and HELIX long-endurance stratospheric airships.
