Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Sign 5-Year Cybersecurity Pact

• The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has entered into a five-year partnership with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) to bolster India's digital identity infrastructure.
• The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was formalised between UIDAI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vivek Chandra Verma and S.O. Junare, Director of the Gujarat Campus of NFSU.
• The collaboration focuses on six strategic domains: academic enrichment, information security, forensic capabilities, cybersecurity technical support, research in cutting-edge technologies, and educational outreach.
• Joint research efforts under this agreement will explore artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, deepfake detection, and cryptographic technologies.
• The partnership aims to strengthen digital resilience and forensic capabilities to safeguard digital public infrastructure while providing student placement and capacity building opportunities.
