• West Bengal recorded a combined voter turnout of 92.47% across two phases in the 2026 Assembly elections, the highest since Independence.
• The Election Commission (EC) reported a turnout of 93.19% in Phase 1 and 91.66% in Phase 2 of the polls.
• A Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls resulted in the deletion of over 90 lakh voters, approximately 12% of the total electorate.
• The total electorate in the state was reduced from 7.66 crore to 6.77 crore following the revision process.
