• The ICRIER-Prosus Centre for Internet and Digital Economy (IPCIDE) released the State of India's Digital Economy (SIDE) 2026 report.
• India is ranked as the fifth most digitalised economy globally, improving from the eighth position in 2025.
• India ranks fourth on the CHIPS-AI index, trailing only the United States, China, and Singapore, and outpaces Germany, France, Japan, United Kingdom, and Canada.
• India generated $328 billion in digitally delivered trade and possesses the world's second-largest AI talent pool.
• The IPCIDE report states that 72 per cent of global AI users are in developing countries, with India and China accounting for nearly two-fifths of worldwide AI adoption.
