India and Israel sign MoU to strengthen cooperation in public sector auditing

• The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India and the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of Israel signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in public sector auditing.
• The agreement was signed during a bilateral meeting between the CAG of India, K Sanjay Murthy, and the State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel, Matanyahu Englman.
• The MoU establishes a framework for the exchange of professional knowledge, methodologies, technical expertise, training opportunities, and best practices in public sector auditing.
• Matanyahu Englman, who also serves as the President of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI), delivered a lecture on Artificial Intelligence in public sector auditing under the Dr BR Ambedkar Lecture Series.
• The engagement aims to promote transparency, accountability, good governance, and innovation in public administration while strengthening relations between India and Israel.
