India and United States conduct 29th Army-to-Army Staff Talks in Hawaii

• India and the United States (US) conducted the 29th edition of the Army-to-Army Staff Talks (AAST) in Hawaii to deepen bilateral defence cooperation.
• The AAST was co-chaired by Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Deputy Chief of the Army Staff (Strategy), and Lieutenant General Joel Vowell, Deputy Commanding General of US Army Pacific.
• The discussions focused on enhancing interoperability, expanding professional exchanges, and deepening military collaboration in support of shared security interests.
• Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh met with a US congressional delegation in Singapore to discuss regional security and advancing shared strategic interests in the Indo-Pacific.
• National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met in New Delhi to discuss strategic technology-related cooperation, including the TRUST initiative.
