Odisha Development Projects and Tribal Welfare Initiatives worth ₹47,600 Crore

• President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi inaugurated 60 projects and laid foundation stones for 12 projects worth ₹47,600 crore on 20 June 2026 in Rairangpur, Odisha.
• The development projects cover multiple sectors including energy, industrial infrastructure, road connectivity, drinking water, health, education, tourism, and irrigation.
• PM Narendra Modi announced that Pahadpur village in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha will be developed as a Surya Gram (Solar Village).
• Tribal welfare initiatives highlighted include the Pradhan Mantri Van-Dhan Yojana (PMVDY) providing Minimum Support Price (MSP) for over 90 minor forest produce.
• The Government of India (GoI) is implementing the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) to develop social infrastructure in tribal rural areas.
