Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls for 2026 to update Mizoram's electoral demographics

• The Election Commission of India (ECI) is conducting a month-long Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls for 2026 in Mizoram.
• The door-to-door verification and enrolment drive is scheduled to conclude on June 28.
• For the first time, the ECI is implementing online application submission for the SIR using a designated Booth Level Officer (BLO) mobile application.
• Mizoram's electoral roll for 2025 consists of 8,75,068 registered voters, including 4,51,671 female and 4,23,397 male voters.
