Bharat Tex 2026 opens with record global participation in Delhi

• Bharat Tex 2026, India's largest global textile event, was held in New Delhi from July 14 to 17, 2026.
• The event was inaugurated by Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh on July 14, 2026.
• Over 120 countries, including the US, UK, and Bangladesh, participated in the event.
• More than 1,600 exhibitors showcased India's complete textile value chain, including fibre, yarn, fabric, apparel, home textiles, and technical textiles.
• The exhibition space spanned 1.6 million square feet, displaying over 20,000 textile products.
• Participation included over 7,000 buyers and 1.3 lakh trade visitors.
• International exhibitors from 14 countries, including the US, UK, Japan, Portugal, Spain, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa, and Nepal, took part.
• Institutional representation came from the United Nations and the European Union.
• Over 4,000 B2B meetings and more than 30 MoUs were expected to be signed during the four-day event.
• Special bilateral sessions included the India-US cotton partnership, India-New Zealand wool ecosystem, India-UK FTA in action, a Japan delegation engagement, and Russia-focused textile discussions.
