Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) Extends Anti-Dumping Duty on Seamless Tubes till 2027

• The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has extended the anti-dumping duty on seamless tubes, pipes, and hollow profiles of iron, alloy, or non-alloy steel.
• The levy has been extended up to and inclusive of 27 January 2027, unless revoked, superseded, or amended earlier.
• The existing anti-dumping duty on these steel products ranges between USD 961.33 and USD 1,610.67 per tonne.
• The duty on these specific steel items was originally imposed on 28 October 2021 for a period of five years.
• The CBIC also announced the continuation of anti-dumping duty on imports of Normal Butanol or N-Butyl Alcohol for a period of five years.
• The duty on Normal Butanol applies to exports from Malaysia, South Africa, and the United States of America.
• Normal Butanol is an industrial component used in sectors such as chemicals, paints, adhesives, and coatings.
