Mukesh Ambani and Sunil Bharti Mittal Named Founding Members of AI for Good Global Commission

• Mukesh Ambani (Chairman, Reliance Industries), Sunil Bharti Mittal (Chairman, Bharti Airtel), Lakshmi N Mittal (Executive Chairman, ArcelorMittal), and Vishal Talwar (President, FedEx Dataworks) were named founding members of the newly launched AI for Good Global Commission.
• The commission was announced by Rwanda President Paul Kagame, Salesforce Chair Marc Benioff, and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin.
• The high-level international panel includes more than 40 leaders from governments and businesses, including Jensen Huang of Nvidia, Brad Smith of Microsoft, Andy Jassy of Amazon, and Albert Bourla of Pfizer.
• The commission aims to address global digital divides, noting that 2.2 billion people remain offline, and seeks to develop responsible artificial intelligence (AI) solutions across various sectors and geographies.
• The inaugural meeting of the commission is scheduled to be held during the AI for Good Global Summit 2026 in Geneva from July 7 to July 10.
