The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) granted EbixCash World Money Ltd a perpetual Authorised Dealer Category-II (AD-II) licence with permission to handle trade remittances and family maintenance remittances.
EbixCash became the first non-bank entity in India to receive such an expanded licence from the RBI.
The licence allows EbixCash to process trade remittances of up to ₹25 lakh per transaction under revised Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) rules introduced in May 2026.
EbixCash also received RBI approval to maintain Nostro accounts for direct settlement of international transactions without involving correspondent banks.
The company serves more than 25,000 touchpoints and supplies foreign currency to over 40 partner banks.
