• The United Nations (UN) released the Preliminary Report of the Independent International Scientific Panel on Artificial Intelligence (AI), marking the first scientific assessment of AI commissioned by the UN.

• The report emphasizes the importance of domestic AI infrastructure for India, which has launched the IndiaAI Mission to invest in compute hardware.
