Air India and Drukair-Royal Bhutan Airlines (Drukair) announce interline partnership for India-Bhutan connectivity

• Tata Group-owned Air India and Drukair-Royal Bhutan Airlines (Drukair) announced an interline partnership on 26 August 2026.
• The partnership allows passengers to book single-ticket itineraries combining Air India and Drukair flights.
• Coordinated baggage transfers will be provided through Air India's hub at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, removing the need to recheck luggage during transit.
• The arrangement expands Air India's reach across the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region.
• Air India passengers will gain access to Bhutan through Drukair's services to Paro via Delhi, with onward connections to Bumthang, Gelephu and Yonphula.
• Drukair passengers will be able to access Air India's domestic network via Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata, with onward connections to Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kochi.
• Drukair passengers will also gain access to Air India's international network, including Paris, Colombo, Newark, Frankfurt, New York, London, Melbourne, San Francisco, Sydney, Toronto and Vancouver.
• Customers will benefit from competitive interline fares, improved routing options and greater travel flexibility.
