India and Singapore Strengthen Partnership in Semiconductors, Digital Payments & Green Energy at Fourth Ministerial Roundtable

Key facts

• The fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) was held in Singapore, with participation from Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State Jitin Prasada.
• India and Singapore agreed to strengthen cooperation in semiconductors, digital connectivity, fintech, green hydrogen, healthcare, and industrial parks.
• Progress was noted in UPI-PayNow Connect transactions, pilot registration of Indian generic medicines in Singapore, and export of litchis, mangoes, cherries, and plums to Singapore.
• Two memoranda of understanding and a letter of intent were exchanged, including an agreement between the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and the Singapore Food Agency for technical information-sharing on food safety.
• The roundtable builds on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in September 2024 and the roadmap adopted in September 2025.
