Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) Analysis Shows India's Rice Exports to 26 Priority Markets Outpaced 3-Year Average

• India's rice exports to 26 priority markets totalled ₹23,476 crore and 4.79 million tonnes between November 2025 and March 2026, covering Basmati and non-Basmati rice, according to an Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) analysis of Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics data.
• Export value for the 26-market basket was 1.1 per cent above the three-year average for the corresponding November-March period, while volume was 5.6 per cent higher.
• Eleven of the 26 priority markets recorded year-on-year growth in both export value and volume during the period.
• The United Arab Emirates recorded a 65 per cent year-on-year rise in rice export value to ₹3,859.04 crore and a 64 per cent rise in volume.
• Belgium's rice export value rose 53.8 per cent and volume rose 44.5 per cent year-on-year.
• Germany's rice export value rose 33.5 per cent and volume rose 24.6 per cent; France's value rose 31.3 per cent and volume 32.9 per cent.
• The United Kingdom's rice export value rose 26.9 per cent and volume rose 25.6 per cent.
• South Africa's rice export value rose 26 per cent and volume rose 42.9 per cent, while Kenya recorded increases of 22.3 per cent in value and 34.1 per cent in volume.
• Mexico's rice export value rose 22.1 per cent and volume rose 50.9 per cent; the Netherlands recorded 20.5 per cent value growth and 13.8 per cent volume growth; Canada recorded 10.2 per cent value growth and 9.1 per cent volume growth.
• Senegal's rice export value rose 5.3 per cent but volume rose 29.9 per cent.
• The United Kingdom, France and Mexico recorded combined export-value growth of 27.2 per cent and volume growth of 26.3 per cent during November 2025-March 2026.
• Eight markets - the UAE, UK, Netherlands, Canada, Belgium, Germany, France and Mexico - recorded four-year highs in both export value and volume.
