Lakshmanan Meyyappan, an Indian-origin Dubai-based teenager, was officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world's youngest male Chartered Accountant.
He qualified in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 30 June 2021 at the age of 16 years and 170 days, with the record announced in February 2026 through his employer, Century Financial.
He was introduced to accounting concepts by his mother, an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) professional, during the Covid-19 pandemic after his Class 10 exams.
He completed the ACCA qualification in about a year, having started it at the age of 15.
He also earned the CFA charter.
He currently works as a Senior Research Analyst at Century Financial in Dubai.
