• The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced the winners of the National Sports Awards 2025 on Tuesday.
• Tejaswin Shankar, who won India's first-ever Commonwealth Games medal in the decathlon, was awarded the Arjuna Award 2025 for outstanding performance over four years.
• The Arjuna Award 2025 was also conferred on Muhammed Ajmal V, Priyanka Goswami, Treesa Jolly, Pullela Gayatri Gopichand, Narender, Vidit Santosh Gujarathi, Divya Jitendra Deshmukh, Dhanush Srikanth, Lalremsiami, Rajkumar Pal, Surjeet, Pooja, Rudransh Khandelwal, Ekta Bhyan, Arvind Singh and Akhil Sheoran.
• I. Arumainayagam received the Arjuna Award in the Lifetime category for football.
• Parveer Singh, Chhote Lala Yadav and Neha Nandkumar Chavan received the Dronacharya Award in the regular category.
• Dharmendra Singh Yadav and Virender Kumar received the Dronacharya Award in the Lifetime category for boxing and wrestling respectively.
• Army Paralympic Node, Pune received the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar 2025 for sports promotion and development.
• No winner was named for the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award for 2025.
