• National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval received the Lokmanya Tilak National Award on the 106th death anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
• The award was presented by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Kataria High School ground in Mukundnagar, Pune.
• The Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust selected Doval for his outstanding contribution to strengthening Indian security.
• Doval is the longest-serving NSA in India and has been involved in operations including Operation Sindoor, Balakot air strikes, and surgical strikes.
• The Lokmanya Tilak National Award was instituted in 1983 and is presented annually on August 1.
• Previous awardees include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Manmohan Singh and Indira Gandhi, former President Pranab Mukherjee, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
