PM Modi to visit Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan for bilateral talks and SCO Summit from Aug 29 to Sep 1

• PM Modi will undertake a bilateral visit to Uzbekistan from August 29 to 30.
• He will then visit Kyrgyz Republic for the 26th SCO Summit from August 31 to September 1.
• During the Uzbekistan visit, he will hold delegation-level talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
• The leaders will review cooperation in trade, investment, defence, digital connectivity, energy, education, and people-to-people domains.
• PM Modi will also visit the Shastri Memorial and the Mahatma Gandhi Centre in Tashkent.
• In Kyrgyzstan, PM Modi will participate in the SCO Summit at the invitation of President Sadyr Zhaparov.
• The summit marks the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
• India has been a full member of the SCO since 2017.
• PM Modi will address the summit, highlighting India's priorities on security, connectivity, and opportunity.
• He will hold bilateral meetings with SCO leaders on the sidelines.
• He will attend the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games.
