SBI Card and Google Pay launch co-branded credit card with UPI-linked RuPay option

• SBI Card and Google Pay have launched a co-branded credit card named Google Pay Flex SBI Card.
• The card is available on both RuPay and Visa payment networks, with the RuPay variant supporting UPI linkage.
• Cardholders earn Stars on eligible spends, with 1 Star equivalent to ₹1, and can earn up to 8 Stars per cumulative ₹500 spent after meeting monthly spending milestones.
• The card offers up to 18,000 Stars annually on everyday spends including groceries, bill payments, travel, utilities, and shopping.
• The joining and annual renewal fee is ₹499 plus applicable taxes, reversible on achieving annual spends of ₹1 lakh in the previous year.
• The card allows conversion of the latest outstanding credit card bill into EMIs through the Google Pay app.
• SBI Card had over 22.6 million cards-in-force as per the company.
