Technology Development Board (TDB) Supports AI-Enabled Cervical Cancer Screening Technology

• The Technology Development Board (TDB) of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, signed an agreement with Griva Healthcare to support the manufacture and commercialisation of the AI-enabled portable digital colposcope GrivaVision.
• GrivaVision integrates a high-definition camera, an in-built display, a user-friendly interface, advanced optics, and indigenous AI-enabled software.
• The portable diagnostic platform supports gynaecologists in visualising the vaginal canal and examining cervical lesions during routine clinical examinations.
• TDB will support Griva Healthcare in establishing manufacturing capacity in Kollam, Kerala, for commercial-scale production and wider deployment.
• GrivaVision has been developed according to the Automated Visual Assessment (AVE) standards approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
• The software of GrivaVision is ABDM compliant, enabling integration with India's digital health ecosystem.
• The device is a category B non-invasive medical device licensed to manufacture by the CDSCO and is being developed to ISO 13485 quality standards.
• The hardware architecture of GrivaVision is patented by Griva Healthcare in India.
• Griva Healthcare is currently engaged in R&D work at AIC-AMTZ Medivalley, Visakhapatnam.
• More than 50% of GrivaVision's product components are currently indigenously sourced.
