ADB Signs First TAS Mandate in India with MP for Renewable Energy PPP Projects

• The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed its first Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) mandate in India with the Government of Madhya Pradesh to support renewable energy public-private partnership (PPP) projects.

• The pact was signed in Bhopal by ADB Country Director for India Mio Oka in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
• ADB will support the structuring and rollout of three clean energy projects across Madhya Pradesh.
• The pipeline includes a solar power generation and battery energy storage facility at Shajapur to address peak electricity requirements and enhance grid stability.
• The engagement aligns with the Madhya Pradesh Renewable Energy Policy 2025, which targets meeting 50 per cent of electricity demand from renewable resources by 2030.
• ADB has maintained an operational relationship with Madhya Pradesh for more than 25 years, including capital investments in energy infrastructure.
