IIT-Ropar to Award MTech in Defence Technology to Army Officers via MoA with Army Air Defence College, Gopalpur

- IIT-Ropar signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Army Air Defence College, Gopalpur, under which it will award MTech degrees in Defence Technology to officers of the Indian Army.
- The agreement was signed by Prof Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT-Ropar, and Lt Gen Amit Rao, Commandant of the Army Air Defence College, Gopalpur.
- The MoA builds on a Memorandum of Understanding for Academic and Research Cooperation signed between Army Training Command, Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army), and IIT-Ropar in December 2022.
- Army officers on the Long Air Defence Course will receive formal accreditation through the MTech programme, with IIT-Ropar faculty nominated as mentors for their dissertations and research projects.
- Officers will get access to IIT-Ropar's laboratories and infrastructure subject to prior approval, along with seminars and lectures by IIT-Ropar faculty in online and offline modes.
