India's Samtel Avionics and Japan's BULL Co. Sign MoU on Space Debris Mitigation

• Samtel Avionics Ltd. (India) and BULL Co., Ltd. (Japan) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly explore space debris mitigation solutions.
• The collaboration combines BULL's proprietary passive Post-Mission Disposal (PMD) technologies with Samtel Avionics' Active Space Debris Removal Vehicle (DRV) spacecraft technology.
• Under the MoU, the parties will explore technical requirements, system interfaces, customization and integration pathways, development milestones, and future implementation opportunities.
• Subject to the exploratory phase's outcome, Samtel and BULL may consider future cooperation in product development, manufacturing, licensing, supply, and commercialization.
• The parties may coordinate on opportunities involving post-launch attachment of BULL's passive PMD device to space debris already in orbit using Samtel's debris removal vehicles, subject to mutual written agreement and regulatory requirements.
