Ira 'Ike' Schab, one of the last remaining survivors of the 1941 Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, died at home in Beaverton, Oregon.
He was a 21-year-old sailor aboard the USS Dobbin during the attack and helped feed ammunition to an anti-aircraft gun.
After the war, Schab worked as an electrical engineer for General Dynamics on the Apollo spaceflight program.
He regularly attended Pearl Harbor remembrance ceremonies to honor those who did not survive.
