Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) and National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Partner for Highway Cybersecurity

• Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) to strengthen cybersecurity and digital forensics for national highway infrastructure.
• The collaboration provides technical guidance for establishing advanced laboratories dedicated to CCTV analysis, multimedia examination, and cyber forensics.
• The partnership covers key highway technologies including Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling, Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR).
• The agreement also focuses on Traffic Management Systems (TMS), Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) solutions, and the establishment of Security Operations Centre (SOC) services.
• The MoU is valid for three years and involves joint research, development, and consultancy projects to improve institutional capacity and adopt global best practices.
• The signing ceremony was attended by Santosh Kumar Yadav, Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and Vishal Chauhan, Chairman and Managing Director of IHMCL.
• The MoU was signed by A R Chitranshi, Chief Operating Officer of IHMCL, and Dr S O Junare, Campus Director of NFSU Gandhinagar.
• The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to build a secure digital ecosystem for India’s expanding national highway network.
