Ahmedabad to host first-ever Cycling League of India

• The first-ever franchise-based Cycling League of India will be held in Ahmedabad during the second week of November.
• The league will feature eight franchises, with each team comprising 10 cyclists, including two international riders and two junior Indian cyclists.
• The competition will be conducted in three phases, featuring race formats such as criterium races, team time trials, and mass start events.
• The league is being organised in collaboration with the Cycling Federation of India (CFI) and promoter New Horizon Alliance Private Limited.
• Ahmedabad is hosting the league as it prepares for the 2030 Commonwealth Games and bids for the 2036 Olympic Games.
• The 'Sundays on Cycle' initiative, launched in 2024, has recorded participation from over 25 lakh citizens across more than 2.5 lakh locations in India.
