Bhopal Passport Office launches Braille script and sign language services to boost accessibility for differently-abled applicants.

• Regional Passport Office (RPO) Bhopal introduced passport-related information in Braille script for visually impaired applicants.
• A series of sign language videos were launched for speech and hearing-impaired applicants to guide them through the passport application process.
• Joint Secretary (Passport Seva Programme) and Chief Passport Officer, B S Mubarak, inaugurated the Braille initiative and sign language video series at RPO Bhopal.
• Special Braille booklets detailing the application process, including ECR and Non-ECR categories, Normal and Tatkal applications, and key do's and don'ts, were published.
• Braille signage plates were installed within the office premises to assist in navigation for visually impaired applicants.
• The sign language videos provide guidance on procedures at Counter A (biometric enrolment), Counter B (document verification), and Counter C (granting of applications).
• The videos include QR codes for direct access to relevant online resources.
• A dedicated Grievance Redressal Cell was inaugurated at RPO Bhopal to ensure prompt resolution of passport-related complaints.
