The Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Government of India (GoI), will launch the upgraded Prashast 2.0 app in May.
The app is designed to screen 21 types of disabilities and simplify the certification process for children with special needs (CWSN).
Students identified with potential disabilities through the app will be linked to special support services under the Samagra Shiksha initiative.
The app enables school-level screening by automatically connecting school heads, teachers, special educators, and students.
The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) programme was organised by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) with participants from Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Uttarakhand, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS).
