Vantara launches world’s first global university for wildlife and veterinary sciences in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

• Vantara University, the world’s first integrated global university dedicated to wildlife conservation and veterinary sciences, was launched in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
• Anant Ambani, Reliance Industries Executive Director and founder of Vantara, stated that the university is shaped by witnessing animals in distress and recognising the need for greater capability in their care.
• The university will offer undergraduate, postgraduate, fellowship, and specialised programmes across disciplines including wildlife medicine and surgery, nutrition, behavioural sciences, genetics, epidemiology, One Health, conservation policy, and naturalistic animal care environment design.
• The foundation ceremony, conducted in accordance with Hindu traditions, brought together representatives from academia, science, conservation, and public life.
