• East Bengal FC (EBFC) secured their first Indian Super League (ISL) title by defeating Inter Kashi 2-1 at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
• The victory ended a 22-year-old top-tier title drought for the club, which last won the domestic league during the 2003-04 season of the National Football League (NFL).
• EBFC finished the campaign with 26 points from 13 matches, winning the championship on a superior goal difference of 19 compared to the 13 of Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG).
• Striker Youssef Ezzejjari won the Golden Boot award after finishing as the highest goal-scorer of the league with 11 strikes from 13 matches.
• The ISL season followed a shortened, single-leg round-robin format consisting of 13 matches where the league table topper was crowned the outright champion without post-season playoffs.
