Education to Employment and Enterprise Standing Committee: Target 10% Global Services Market Share by 2047

• National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) convened the first meeting of the High-Powered Education to Employment and Enterprise Standing Committee on May 22.
• The committee, announced in the Union Budget 2026-27, is tasked with helping India achieve a 10 per cent share in the global services market by 2047.
• The panel includes representatives from the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Electronics and IT, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Ministry of School Education, and Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
• State governments participating in the committee are Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
• Industry associations involved in the panel are National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME).
• The committee aims to align education, skilling, employment, and entrepreneurship ecosystems with the "Viksit Bharat" roadmap to enhance economic resilience and export competitiveness.
