Mission Arunachal Kiwi launched to empower farmers and build globally competitive organic kiwi ecosystem

• Mission Arunachal Kiwi was launched by Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guidance of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
• The mission aims to empower farmers and build a globally competitive organic kiwi ecosystem in Arunachal Pradesh.
• It focuses on strengthening the entire kiwi value chain including cultivation, post-harvest management, branding, exports, and agri-tourism.
• Arunachal Pradesh contributes more than 50% of India's kiwi production, and the mission targets key districts: Lower Subansiri, West Kameng, Shi Yomi, Dibang Valley, and Tawang.
• The mission was officially launched in New Delhi by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia during a programme organised by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh government.
