The Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming (APCNF) programme won the 2026 Food Planet Prize, presented by the Curt Bergfors Foundation in Båstad, Sweden.
The APCNF received a prize amount of $1.5 million (approximately ₹14 crore).
The natural farming initiative was launched in 2016 by the Andhra Pradesh government through the Rythu Sadhikara Samstha (RySS).
The RySS has established a grassroots network spanning more than 8,000 villages and involving over 10,000 trained community resource persons.
Other finalists who received recognition grants of $1.5 lakh each were Conscious Kitchen (United States), NoPalm Ingredients (Netherlands), and Savanna Institute (United States).
