Nibe Limited demonstrated the Garudastra long-range 120mm vehicle-mounted mortar system at the Infantry School in Mhow.
Developed in collaboration with a foreign original equipment manufacturer, the system is designed to engage targets at ranges of 7 to 10 kilometres.
The system is equipped with a 17kg penetrating warhead capable of defeating 20 centimetres of reinforced concrete.
Garudastra utilises soft-recoil technology on a 4x4 tactical vehicle and can achieve a burst firing rate of 12 to 16 rounds per minute.
The system integrates with Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) and Battle Management Systems to receive real-time targeting information from drones and radars.
